Clean. Comfortable. Friendly helpful and courteous staff from maintenance to housekeeping to catering/bar service to front desk to management!! Top notch!! Cheers to Martha and her team in Bistro Catering for awesome service for our wedding weekend welcome party, post party and farewell breakfast! Class acts!! Martha, we appreciate your working with us on extending the bar staff to accommodate our guests!!! Cheers to Shelby and her team at the front desk for always taking the initiative to lend a helping hand or two to make sure that we had everything we needed. Shout out to Austin, Colby, Serenity… I hope that was her name ;). Special thanks to the gentleman from I believe maintenance, so sorry, I can’t recall his name, but he helped continuously with everything in the conference room all weekend to make sure everything was just perfect!! He was amazing!! What a great staff you have!!! All are SO deserving of an Employee Appreciation Award! We certainly tipped them all, but would love for the hotel management to recognize and honor these superstar staff members!! Not all names were mentioned, but if they worked from Thursday, 9/21-Sunday, 9/24, please thank them all again from the Watsons and I hope the hotel management can find a way to show them how much they really are valued and appreciated for their hospitality and their service!! I would return to this hotel. I initially chose the location mostly due to its access to the Concert Venue we were attending in Asheville. The staff was the BEST part - Accommodating, Friendly and Attentive to any needs from the front desk staff at check in, during the stay and at checkout. We loved the Chop House! And by mention of all the staff, I would also include our interactions with the following team members: the on site managers, the restaurant workers, housekeeping and the Security staff. WELL DONE! Early check in and a very early check out time were easy. The price was also excellent and appropriate.

It was a very comfortable room. The location was fantastic. My wife and I walked everywhere downtown. The price can’t be beat for a downtown stay. There’s a lot of reviews about it being dated. Truthfully, it is a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Kind of like your Grandma’s house. Assuming she had a little money. This may not matter to everyone, but the coffee is good too. Pretty sure it’s Marriott coffee. The staff is also friendly. Shower was clean and had great hot water and pressure. Beds were very comfortable too. Staff was very friendly.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable - blackout curtains exceptional! The room (318) has an extremely loud a/c and at times would go up a level in noise. It did make it difficult to fall asleep (husband had ear plugs and I stuck a finger in my ear). I didn’t mention this to reception as every hotel we have stayed at since arriving in the US (4) have had very loud air conditioning units so we figured this is just what people put up with here. This was the loudest though. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but the menu looked good.

The staff, Manager Crystal and Server Susan, were exceptional. Crystal was very responsive to our requests. Susan in the restaurant was the best. Crystal gave us a room, but when we went into it, it smelled like smoke which was unbearable. She then gave us a different room which was fine, however the phone didn't work and the safe didn't work. She told us that he phones were being replaced and she got someone to quickly replace the battery in the safe. She also gave us breakfast coupons. She went above and beyond.
